Remove Parent Taxamoni

  • I am using Yoast SEO Plugin with the latest WordPress & WooCommerce installation.

    WooCommerce uses taxonomy product_cat and post_type product. I use sub categories for organization.

    Desired Result:

    URL 1: website.staging.wpengine.com/category/landing-page/

    This is a product_cat with images of sub categories, products, descriptions, it’s perfect and I use display post type: both

    The Issue.. when we get to a sub category: website.staging.wpengine.com/category/landing-page/product_cat/

    ^^landing-page is a woocommerce taxonomy product_cat

    I would like to have it like this: website.staging.wpengine.com/category/product_cat/

    What are my options?

    The last thing I want to do is add another plugin. is there a setting I can use? The Permalink Settings for the Product category base is category which I like.

    What file can I edit to get my desired result for sub categories? Is there just a setting that I am missing?
