Page Content Not Showing Up

Hi all,

I’m building a small portfolio site and I’m having a problem with my page content showing up. For the page.php file, I have a php function to get header and get footer. Those two are working, but no matter how much code I input into the page itself (when I go to Add Page, name it and input the content into the WYSIWYG with the “Text” option clicked), absolutely nothing is showing up. It’s only displaying the navigation menu and the footer with no content in between.

I’m using the Blank Slate theme (because I wanted to code from the ground up). Is there something simple I’m missing or will this be more complicated than I can fathom?
