• I am having a security issue on the WP.org site. I have two admin (myself and I other) and we both were locked out of the admin view at same time. Our passwords both did not work. We both were also unable to request a new password… it would show us the screen, we would do the request, but never got the reset. I have done numerous HTML type security scans and they all come back clean. the website https://westonranchcommunityassociation.com just recently changed from wp.com to wp.org. (still shows the https://69.89.31.192/~westonr2/wp even though I changed nameservers recetly). I was asked to reset my password in this WP.ORG forums, got the email, and it allowed me to enter the forum, but still not the wp.org website. Novice here. I contacted host (bluehost) to see if they can help. Any suggestions? Recently changed a SEO plugin to add social media (FB)

That’s not good but it doesn’t sound like you have a security problem just an access one.

We both were also unable to request a new password… it would show us the screen, we would do the request, but never got the reset.

    Try the advice here.

Personally I am really found of this method myself. Make sure you backup any files before you edit them.

That’s because the user ID and passwords here have nothing to do with anywhere else. Including your self-hosted WordPress installation. They’re not connected so resetting the password here can’t help you on your installation.
