• I’m trying to get rid of the header in favor of a transparent header image that displays the page background color.

I also want to separate the menu bar and the footer, essentially having the page background color display/show through as a separator from the main body/content. The image/mock-up better explains what I’m trying to achieve.

  • What you are talking about is some real file editing. If you are serious about doing this then you should create a Child Themeand then copy over header.php and footer.php which will then need to be edited accordingly along with the CSS.

Maybe you could look around and find a theme more closely suited to what you have in mind?

For example, https://107.21.230.51/sample-page/ is something I quickly threw together using the theme Weaver.

    Theme weaver?

Lol! I see the confusion from how I wrote that. No. There is a theme called Weaver which I used to make the sample page I linked to.
