Meta Description Editor will not save some descriptions.

  • Hi
    I have a bunch (60+) of custom categories and subcategories that I’ve added meta descriptions to.

    On saving most of them have saved ok but a few will not and continue to show an empty text area in the dashboard.

    I’ve added a few new subcategories as a test and these work fine.

    All of the omitted saves are parent categories yet other parents have saved ok.

    Any clues on how to solve this?

    Go to Modules>>> Meta Description Editor, then see if the field are present there (which allow you to edit and save up to 100 pages from one place)en mass.

    Yes the categories are shown in the bulk editor but the meta descriptions will not save for a just few parent categories.

    I can add a new categories and then add meta descriptions to those no problem.

    I haven’t quite reach 100 categories yet is that the plugins limit?

    Any other suggestions?

    This could be a memory issue with hosting. Can you increase memory or are you in a shared server environment?
