Where are you adding the code for this new image in your child theme’s header.php file?

@esmi I’m simply using the header option in the dashboard. I’ve been sticking to my child theme’s style.css for all of my blog alternations.

If you want to move the header image to above the menu, then you will need to create a custom copy of header.php in your child theme. Try to use pure CSS to move the image is likely to be problematic and will not yield good cross-browser results.

I’d like to try that but there’s no header.php option in my child theme side bar. Do I have to import it or something?

You need to create a copy of the header.php file in your child theme folder – and make the changes to that file. You’ll need to create that file on your local computer and FTP it to the child theme folder.

Where is my child theme folder?

Didn’t you create it when you made the child theme?

I used the one-click child theme plug in.

I have no idea how that works – but you can look and see if you have the proper set up – it would be:

wordpress
   wp-content
       themes
          twentytwelve
          yourchildtheme

You’ll need to use FTP to do this kind of work – if you don’t have that set up, ask your hosting company about it.
