Nice attempt, but sadly it didn't work for me

I badly needed this plugin to work but unfortunately it didn’t.
After installing, I did a full export without any options so that the export file was as complete as possible.
Next I imported to a clean fresh WP install and everything came including all media. Unfortunately none of the media re-attached themselves to the custom post that they used to be attached to ??
