• Ok.. I initially started with 2.0 and thought I could import my old Grey Matter files over with that.. and found that i couldn’t.

SO i had to use 1.2 to import my GM files over and then upgrade to 2.0.

When I did the first install with 2.0 when i viewed my site in IE and FireFox it was fine. But Since I have done the 1.2 and then upgraded to 2.0 – when I view it in IE it is completely different! I am a FFox user, but I want IE users to view the site properly as well!

Any help would be much appreciated! =)

P.S. I am a n00b when it comes to fine details and coding *_*

oh yeah.. my website is https://www.myke.co.uk

    thank you =)

You mean the way the sidebar appears at the bottom in IE? This is usually caused by some content in a post being too wide. FF resizes nicely, IE not so much.

I’d start with the picture in your “wtf *&#$!” post, and then check the widths of the various bits in your sidebar.

Or you could try a theme that’s a bit wider!

    I am having similar problems.

Can anyone speculate as to the reason this post (and others) appears different between IE and Firefox:

Other posts on this cat page look similar, only showing the first line: https://www.carolynstreetlafond.com/category/poems/

I just don’t know! Thank you for any help.

Are you writing your posts in Word and pasting into WordPress from there? That is really not a good idea, as it brings across a load of messy tags.

If you want to type in something other than the WordPress editor, try pasting into Notepad first, and from Notepad to WordPress. This will remove all the messy tags, and might fix the problem. If it doesn’t, it will make it easier for us to look at the site and see what’s going wrong.

wanna fix how Internet Explorer displays your page?

    https://ie7.sf.net

IE is old and non-compliant. This fixes how websites display in IE. How? Part magic. ok, actually it just rewrite the DOM on the fly with Javascript.

    Try ie7 above
Don’t write posts in word!! Ever!

    Thanks all,
