Popup plugin?

    I’m looking for a plugin to display a popup on my site. I’m offering 31 different services. I want to put a link next to each that will bring up a popup describing the service in more detail. I’d like something that dims the screen in the background while displaying the information I want them to see. Then they simply close or X out of the popup to return to the main screen. Anybody have a suggestion for this? I know it’s out there already.

  • Oh yeah, there are a bunch. In WordPress admin, go Plugins -> Add New and then in the searchbox, search for the terms “lightbox popup” and you’ll see a bunch with ratings, number of downloads, the versions of WordPress they’re tested against, etc.

    Sometimes, it’s a matter of knowing what search terms to use. In your case, it’s going to be something like “lightbox,” “thickbox,” or maybe “slimbox.”
