Unpossible use Comment Guestbook without allowing comments everywere?

  • The website is static, varosvedo.hu and I want to allow comments only on cerain pages. If I choose Allow comments in Appearance/Theme options, I have comments everywhere. I hoped I could lose the problem with Coomment Guestbook but I could not, because I have to allow comments everywhere for it too, otherwise the comment will be not published. It would be best if I could customize the Comment Guestbook to publish the comment. Please, help me, what can I do?

  • Try disabling comments on individual pages. Go to edit, click screen options, tick-mark the discussions tab, scroll down the edit box and using the check boxes disable comments for individual pages.

    Yes!!! Thank you Kristina! I could not disable comments on the pages but I could do it in Pages in Quick edit or what it called in English. Maybe I have not the possibility to disable comments editing the page because I made the theme in Artisteer and it is not so perfect. However your advice helped me after a week of desperate pondering.
