made new directory for wordpress but can't log in

  • Hi,

    I have changed my wordpress files so that they in the root directory (as opposed to on my iweb site).

    My url used to be anniehearts.com/blog
    and now it’s anniehearts.com

    I changed my index.php file to:
    require(‘./blog/wp-blog-header.php’);

    My problem is that now I can’t login.
    Codex says to:
    Login to the new location. It might now be https://example.com/wordpress/wp-admin/

    I tried this but it didn’t work.

    Any help is appreciated!

    I just saw that my .htaccess files are empty in public_html and in wp-admin.

    There is no code at all.

    I got help from the help desk of my host (Ragesw) to move the files, but now I’m wondering if they did it incorrectly…

    My site is down and I can’t log in to WordPress.

    Please help! Anyone?
