What css setting controls this background?

Anyway, your link is to a picture of a webpage. Nobody can tell you what to adjust in the CSS from that picture, you need to point them to the actual webpage itself, so that they can look at the actual CSS code it’s using. It’s like I posted a picture of a door and asked “what’s behind this door?” You’re not going to get a correct answer from that.

OK. I’m *real* reluctant spam this board (thus the attempt to code the link). Also, I’m not trying to be dense…..I used to be a professional pilot, but am now retired and I don’t think anyone will ever call me webmaster….

[Just a sidenote about marking code: you do NOT have to use the word “code” – you just put the backticks around your code-line; but for a URL you don’t really need that]

This is more of a Gallery question than a WordPress one, really. Have you tried using the WordPressEmbedded theme for Gallery? It seems to behave a lot more nicely than the standard Gallery layout.

I’d also suggest asking at the WPG2 forums – people there have a lot of experience making WP and Gallery get along.

I found I had to remove the sidebar from single image pages to make things work with my layout – this article helped with that.

Frankly, I’m thinking about dumping the gallery anyway. In my case it is a lot like using a sledge hammer to drive a carpet tack.

Gade: You might try adding a width attribute to the #gallery or body.gallery block in the CSS.

I solved the problem by changing the theme.

WP-Andreas09 is *very* friendly for wpg2 and widgets. An excellent theme.
