    Unfortunately commercial themes are not supported in these forums. ??

    I don’t understand….? wordpress is made up of themes and plugins isn’t it…?

    I don’t know anyone who doesn’ t seem to have a theme on their wordpress…? I thought that is what people do?

    But anyway it may not be a them issue – I think it is a wordpress issue gauging from someone else who had a similar problem..

    I still think it’s very confusing all the wordpress forums and rules…

    Still hoping someone can help me with the title tag ‘issue above’

    thanks ??

    Try switching to the default theme to see if you still have the problem.

    Sorry I don’t know how to do that… will i break anything doing that?

    by he way WPjogi I wanted to ask you why you deleted this post from my other forum? aren’t they all separate? I am very confused because it seems I’m not allowed here either?

    Thanks

    Lorna

    Duplicate threads are against the forum rules – they make it much harder for people to help you. If this is a plugin issue, then you post on the plugin forum – which you did (more than once – which is also not cool – these are volunteer free forums so you need to have a bit more patience).

    Did this problem happen after you started using the plugin? Or has it always been that way?

    Standard way to start troubleshooting is to switch to the twentytwelve theme. Your theme settings are saved when you switch back.

    Hey I know it’s volunteer and I am very appreciative of any help anyone can give me. Very. I wasn’t impatient I was just confused. You see how do I know which forum to post it in if I don’t know what is causing the issue? If I put it more then once in the same forum then you can see just how confused I was. ??

    But thanks – you know it’s hard to say… as I only just noticed..

    I will try and switch to the twentytwelve theme.

    Thanks

    I know it’s confusing, frustrating and hard to know about these things (both WP problems and the forums when you’re new) … no problem ?? – let’s just see if we can get it sorted out, or at least see what’s causing that.

    So yep, switch out the theme first. Also try deactivating your plugins as they can cause problems sometimes.

    Thanks for that.

    Well I switched all plugins off – no change
    I switched of Flex and turned on twentytwelve – no change

    very strange as I would have though changing the theme would change the look but it just seemed the same. I did try incognito window too.

    ??

    Something’s definitely messed up – see the duplicate code and the title code here:

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "https://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="https://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
    </head>

    <body>
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html lang="en-US">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
    <meta name="keywords" content="" />

    Can you try again to switch those off and go to twentytwelve – and let me look at it?

    Ah, just looked again and you have W3TC caching on – try turning that off and clearing the cache.

    Thread Starter lornalily

    (@lornalily)

    Yep did that. I turned W3TC off and then clearing the cache on my browser history and still the same.
    ?
    did you want me to turn it all off again and let you know?

    Yeah, because that header.php file is not right – did you change that file at all?

    Thread Starter lornalily

    (@lornalily)

    I have disabled all plugins and enabled the twentytwelve so you can have a look.

    someone may have touched the header.php to fix something I am not sure sorry….

    (@lornalily)

    I have the yoast wordpress seo plugin… I wonder if that’s involved.

    I’m still getting the same site (even in a different browser) – so the caching must still be on or not cleared – there should be an option or setting to clear the W3TC cache?
