• I have a default version of my htaccess file.
My permalink structure is set to postname.

    Permalinks such as .co.uk/name/ – .co.uk/anothername work.
Similarly, permalinks work when they are set to the default.

I have a few plugins installed, bbpress and wp-events-organiser. Permalinks work for these plugins .co.uk/name/subname/ etc.

However, they don’t work for a normal page set up .co.uk/name/subname.

I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the htaccess file, I’ve tried deactivating all plugins and refreshing permalinks, nothing seems to work. Any help suggestions?

Have you tried switching to the WP default Twenty Twelve theme:

    – To rule out any theme-specific issue, try switching to the unedited default theme for a moment using the WP dashboard. If you don’t have access to your admin area, you can switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

-Also have a read of this codex: Using_Permalinks

Hi, yep I’ve tried switching themes too, the problem still exists. Read through that too, couldn’t find anything of help.
