Recurring event with custom dates

    Hi,

    To begin with: I love this plugin and everything is running great.

    One question:

    Is it possible to make a recurring event with custom dates that are not repeating?

    So for example the event takes place on 14-6, 28-6 and 29-6

    Or for instance:

    From january to december every first monday, except for ‘date 1’, ‘date2’ and ‘date3’

    By the look of all the questions and requests around recurring events, I start thinking that the term recurring may be a little restrictive.

    May be it should be called an event template or event series.
    The master event would hold the default values (like the text and the pictures) and the instances could be added, removed, edited …

    This could take the recurrent events idea to the next step

    Just a thought …

    Yes indeed. ‘Recurring events’ should actually be ‘Repeating events’ or ‘Event series’ indeed.

    And for an event that is not repeating but has multiple dates it should be possible to add more dates to an event instead of Duplicating an event and changing the dates..

    r.e. ‘templates’ – when we do rewrite recurring events (before you ask, no ETA yet), it’ll be very different, so that’s pretty much what I’m thinking too ??
