no user db

Hi,
After installing jp-wp and setting it up I attemted to load my blogger account. In that failed process I have lost my blogger site, which is replaced with an archive list and a message to try WP as my blogging client.
I have also lost access to the WP control panel on my Joomla site. I tried to follow the steps in the link above to reset admin password, but there is no user db, as shown, in myphpadmin for the site.
WP is gobbling up my sdata and db. Help!
