plugin not working on iphone/ipad

  • Hi there, I just installed the plugin for a nonprofit radio page, which we offer Asian cultural hour show…

    I followed the instructions and info and got it all setup, and it works on browsers on my desktop with Chrome but not the new internet explorer… with iOS devices, I can see the play button on iphone/ipad but when I press it, it dissappear for a few seconds and reappear without playing the audio.

    The site is using the latest wordpress and the latest of this plugin, so I need some help. All mp3/ogg files are hosted with Amazon Cloud (since it’s the only place I can find that allows me to host a huge amount of files at low cost)…

    Thanks for reporting this browser issue mdifilm.

    I think maybe you need to add the mime types to your htaccess because it’s behaving in exact same way as it does in firefox where this is definitely the problem… see FAQs.

    In your case if you’re hosting files on a different server then it’s actually on that server where you need to add the mime types.

    added the mime type to my server and still not working, I guessed using amazon cloud drive will not work… ??

    Also, uploaded the 60mins file to my own server, added the mime type and still the same problem. ?? I also did a direct url link to the browser, it seems since the file is large, it has to be downloaded first, and the plug ins is not doing it because it’s 60mins long…

    The file will not start playing until it’s fully downloaded with this plugin. I think if you have 60min files then this is probably not the best tool for the job – you would be better to go for a streaming tool where the files can start straight away
