unable to install new child theme

    Installing new theme. Mistakenly attempted to install child theme, not realizing that the parent theme (gensis) was a separate theme installation. Successfully installed parent theme. Tried to install child them and got this error message:
    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    Destination folder already exists. /home7/thesmas1/public_html/wp-content/themes/agency/

    Theme install failed.
    What do I do?

  • You can try to use FTP to delete that theme from themes folder, but for more specific help with a genesis theme, you should ask studiopress – as commercial themes aren’t supported here.

    Thanks, I checked with StudioPress and was able to resolve the issue. I now know to direct any questions re my theme to them.
