• Im not techie so reliant on my host in the UK.
Ive built a lovely wordpress site https://www.jane-shaw-cunningham.com
It was in construction mode for a long time and stored. It appeared in Google search as

jane-shaw-cunningham.com.gridhosted.co.uk is currently under …jane-shaw-cunningham.com.gridhosted.co.uk/?CachedWelcome to jane-shaw-cunningham.com.gridhosted.co.uk, a site recently created using our clustered Linux web hosting. If you’re seeing this page instead of …

When I went live over a month ago, the security plugin particular (WordFence) truly screwed it up. The host sorted all the files out – except I could not get into the back (view web files) and so have been reliant on them.

My problem is that the website despite being live does not show in Google as https://www.jane-shaw-cunningham.

I have FETCHED it again and again. Today, at my host’s guidance, I deleted all plugins and fetched again. I have posted a help request on Googles webmastser website – I did earlier but got nowhere.
Im going round in circles – I have basically very little knowledge in this are. I have built this website for my friend – and it does not show correctly in Google search.
I dont think my host has any idea why this is happening?

My host have taken off the preview and say ” It should not search it at gridhosted.co.uk anymore because your domain is already pointing to our DNS and its working.”

Please can anyone identify what is going wrong? I actually dont know what to do next?

  • Your site seems fine to me. The meta-title (which Google normally uses) on the home page is “Psychic readings and complementary therapies” and the meta-titles on your other pages also seem perfectly valid & fine. I think it’s just that Google hasn’t fully re-indexed your site after the earlier problems. It can take a couple of months before you start seeing some decent search result rankings. Are you generating a google sitemap?

    Hi Esme
Yes I had created an xml site map but it was a plugin – so its deleted at the moment.

I had submitted site map both to google and BING. They were reading them it seemed.

How can I get Google to fully index the site? Should I keep resubmitted the sitemaps? FETCHING doesnt seem to do anything.
I had an SEO Plugin so have been doing that (Yoast)on each page. But is is so frustrating that it is not appearing in the ranking as it should be. I dont think the ranking will work properly despite my SEO efforts as its not listing the domain properly.

Im not a web designer/developer so learning all this the hard way.

    Here are your Google-indexed pages.

Yes. Google Webmaster Tools – you have gone to the right place. You may further take up the mater there only as WordPress has nothing to do with indexing, ranking, etc.

BTW, adding a lot of good user-friendly content as often as you can, submitting a sitemap, requesting Google a review, etc. might help. Also look for crawl errors, links not found, etc. and take corrective actions for errors notified by Google.

    Thanks Krishna
There are no crawl errors it says for the past 90 days.
Im doing the content now. I need a little more text on most pages, trying to improve the Fleisch readability etc.
It doesnt find links. I have added the website to my linkedin, the business owners linked in and both of our Facebooks, but nothing showing.

I will put the plugins back (as I think my host thought they were getting in the way) and get it back to what it was. I will probably have to wait another month I guess.
Im just not sure if my host has got it right at their end.

Also I asked here as I didnt know who else to ask!

Thank you so very much for the GOOGLE LISTED PAGES link. That makes me feel much better.

Thank you for responding so quickly. Still waiting for someone at Google to answer! and that has been half a day
