Just want to delete the blog

I know where the delete site link is, and I follow the very simple instructions. I want to delete the blog permanently and are re-directed to a short message that reads, that I will receive an email shortly. That email never shows up and yes of course it is the correct email.
So who do I contact when the system fails? And how do I delete my blog permanently?
