Calendar Won't Work With Theme (jQuery Issue)

Hi there,
I’m trying to help my parents with their website, and am using a premium theme called “Origin” from InspectElement. Parts of the theme, such as the flexslider, require the jquery file they’ve included:
https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.2/jquery.min.js
Ajax Event Calendar will not work with this theme because of this file. When I disable that jquery file, the calendar works fine. But, then the slider no longer appears.
Unfortunately, I know nothing about jQuery, so I can’t even attempt to fix it myself or know where to begin looking. Any help would be appreciated!
