• I have recently been using the Mantra theme on a WordPress site and I would like to use the WP-Cufon plugin to control the fonts. I do understand that the Mantra theme has a facility to change fonts including the very easy implementation of Google Fonts as well. However I would like to know if it is possible to use the WP-Cufon plugin instead.

I have noticed that once the WP-Cufon plugin is installed and activated the site does not display the fonts designated by Cufon.

Is there anyway to override the fonts assigned by Mantra allowing the Cufon plugin to manage and display the fonts?

  • After adding the font files needed by Cufon, the plugin should work fine with Mantra, as long as you use explicit enough declaration of tags you want to format.
For example, ‘h1’ might not work and get overwritten by Mantra’s fonts, but ‘h1.entry-title’ should work.
Use Firebug to identify the exact tags/classes combinations Mantra uses to apply font to a particular element.
