Hide Page

I’m trying to hide a page (ID84) from my sidebar. I replaced this code:
<?php wp_list_pages(‘title_li=<h2>’ . __(‘Pages’) . ‘</h2>’ ); ?>

with this:
<?php wp_list_pages(‘exclude=8&title_li=<h2>’ . __(‘Pages’) . ‘</h2>’ ); ?>

but the page still apprears. Is there something else I should be doing?
