Search isn’t working

  • The search on my custom themed WordPress doesn’t work.

    I have an intact ‘searchform.php’ and search.php’ from the default theme, but placed the searchbar on a page.

    No matter what I search for, I always get the WordPress 404 page (404.php)

    Do I need to do anything special to get that search working when the searchbar is on another page then the sidebar?
