Carousel Slider showing tiny images, huge spaces between them

    Hi, I am using the carousel version of the slider. Uploaded about 18 images, 140×169 pixels in size, set the slide size to the same value, and posted, and all the images came out TINY. So i multiplied the slide size by 3, and now they look almost the right size, but there are still huge spaces between then.

    Not: for some reason, when I change size to around 400px, suddenly the plugin decides to listen to me and put the actual requested size, and the slides turn out huge!

    Any help is much appreciated!

  • Hi Anthony,

    You’re right in selecting the slide size as the same size as your images.

    Could you send me a link to your site where the issue is occurring (with the slide size set back to 140 x 169)? Hopefully it’s just an issue with your theme CSS, which should be a quick fix.

    PS I am also experiencing an issue where the slider seems to have its own life. It changes direction and speed, and stops pausing on hover, every 10-20 seconds. Thanks!

    Hi, it looks like your theme or some javascript is interfering with the image sizes.

    You’ll need to figure out what is applying that style=’width: X’ attribute and disable it.

    Hi Tom,

    I missed one obvious villain: the WP Fluid Images plugin. That was what was overriding the script. Thanks again!

    Hi Tom sorry, I forgot about that other issue. It is still acting strange, speeding up/slowing down, changing direction, and not always responding to the hover-pause, pretty much whenever it wants. Any ideas? Thanks,
