Hi, I kept sports schedules, results, rankings, etc. in Tablepress this year. The season is over and before next season starts I want to archive all of my 2013 data into it’s own “area.” For instance, I would like to have a dropdown menu that lists previous years (ie 2013) and within that page I want to have all of my data from 2013 in there and then be able to start fresh with the 2014 schedules. Is there an easy way to do this? Thank you!

    Hi,

    thanks for your question.

A general recommendation I can make here, is to change your table’s IDs to contain the year, for example to use “schedule-team-A-2013” and “ranking-2013” and similar as the table IDs. That makes managing the IDs easier.

As for that dropdown: Unfortunately, there’s not direct functionality for this in TablePress, so you’ll need to come up with a custom solution, e.g. based on JavaScript, that listens to the change of the dropdown and then navigations to a different page on the site (where a different/old table is shown).
I have done something similar on my baseball team’s website: If you check https://www.poorpigs.de/baseball/spielplan/saison-2013/ you’ll see small links to “2011”, “2012”, and so on near that top, that go to a different page with the table from a previous year.

    Regards,
    Tobias
