Video attribute

I had a look at your page and try changing your YouTube link to the following.

https://www.youtube.com/v/zLbw2Me3SIk?enablejsapi=1&version=3&playerapiid=ytplayer

I ran a quick test on my site and that link seems to work fine. The problem with your link was it did not have the enablejsapi=1 after the ?.

Basically try to form your YouTube links like

https://www.youtube.com/v/YOUTUBE_VIDEO_ID_GOES_HERE?enablejsapi=1&version=3&playerapiid=ytplayer

You can also use the Google API YouTube links. It can be a little bit fussy and I’m working on an easier solution for people to add YouTube links to the video input.

If it doesn’t work after making that change let me know and I’ll have a look at your page again and I’ll try to like it myself to see what pops up in my news feed.

Thanks for your reply! I tried what you wrote, but it sadly didn’t worked.
I get this warning from the Debugger:

The parser’s result for this metadata did not match the input metadata. Likely, this was caused by the data being ordered in an unexpected way, multiple values being given for a property only expecting a single value, or property values for a given property being mismatched. Here are the input properties that were not seen in the parsed result: ‘fb:admins’

Hmm,

The video does post to my activity log just fine but it didn’t seem to show up in my timeline or news feed which may or may not be caused from that error in the debugger.

I actually think you’ve found a bug in my code with fb:admins I’ll have to run a test on my side of things to double check that.

The video link your using is just fine, in the meantime can you go into your WordPress Admin panel go to the Social Graph menu and only put in one FB ID attribute instead of two with a comma and re-run the debugger with just one number in there and let me know if that gets rid of the error for you.

I’m almost 100% sure now that there is a bug when adding the fb:admins meta tags to the site, I’ll fix that up as soon as I can and push out an update.

your’re right about the FB ID’s. I only one added now and the bug is gone. Sadly Facebook still only shows the logo instead of the video! (Why the f* do facebook make it so hard!

I’ll try to push out a bug fix for that issue later on today as for the video only showing an image its a tough one to figure out.

Your not the only one having that issue and I’m going to be doing a lot of research on how to improve and make it as easy as possible for people to share YouTube images, ect…

I’ll keep you posted but when I tested the link out on my Facebook profile the video showed up in my activity feed just fine just not my Timeline or news feed I think it might be something to do with the Article type.

But yeah I’ll run a bunch more tests today and try to pin down why exactly this happens.
