• Hi, I moved my site from an add-on domain on a shared server to its own account on a new host server.

The image upload directory cannot be found and I now have no images in the directory.

I have no idea how to fix this. Can you help.

The site is https://www.visitpietrelcina.com and it is hosted on asmallorange.com

    Thanks
    Ursula West

  • @bookpeg

Can you specify the URL where the image is not coming up.
Can you be precise so that I can help you.

Here is a bit of the history of this problem. It has grown to be more than a Business Directory problem though, so I am not sure if this is the correct place to put the query.

I moved the site to a new hosting company (mainly for financial reasons – they allowed monthly payments) One of the people on the new server company, which is called ‘aSmallOrange’, imported the site from my old hosting account on BlueHost. The site was on a shared account and was an add-on domain.?

There are lots of complications with it. Apart from the Business Directory and the Google maps not working, I now find that I cannot upload any new themes or plugins. When I click the upload button after choosing a zip file from my desktop I get the message:
“Unable to create directory uploads/2013/05. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

I have had several e-mails from the AsmallOrange support section but they tell me that is outside of their scope (because it is a WP installation which has been moved)
The images that are missing by the way, are the ones associated with the directory entries which I had built up over the past 6 months.

Every one of the entries on this page: https://www.visitpietrelcina.com/directory/dir-category/negozio/ should have a thumbnail image on the right of it and when you click into the name of an item, there should be a page which opens up with sometimes two or three expandable images at the bottom of the full listing.

Now I am completely stuck. If you have any advice, I would appreciate it. My first thought is to move the site back to Bluehost. At least they have a live help section.
    Best regards,
    Ursula West
