• I just installed wordpress and for the most part everything works fine except for the images.

When I upload an image it saves to the appropriate directory ie:

    blog/wp-content/uploads/2006/04

there are no problems with creating folders within the uploads folder etc…

the problem is when I use drag it in to article and save, it generates a link that removes blog from the string:

    wp-content/uploads/2006/04

obviously this isn’t the correct link, I can go back in and edit the html so that it points to the correct directory, but I shouldn’t have to

how can I get it to use the correct directory when it saves the blog entry?

if this has already been addressed then please direct me to the correct post, I’ve been searching for the better part of 2 days now and I can’t seem to find the answer (of course now that I’ve posted this request I’ll probably find what I am looking for)

    thanks

  • I think it is a bug, I remember other posts about it. Don’t drag ?? Just send it to the editor: you know, click on the image and work with the menu options shown.

yup, you are correct I just read about the bug you are referring to, the drag and drop only works with internet exploder

however I did manage to read about some plugins I may look at later while trying to find an answer to my problem ??
