• Finding it impossible to make any edits to our website. We keep getting kicked out with either an Http500 error or an error page advising that the wp-config.php file is inorrect or its unable to connect to localhost.
We had several attempts at logging in earlier in the day via the wrong WordPress site – no idea if this has had an impact on our current problems. Our website is https://www.lovelylettings.co.uk

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
