existing buddypress sites… lose all data?

  • So if I have an existing buddypress setup, when I delete the bp- settings from the database under those two tables, re-activate buddypress, I will lose all the old data?

    I just tried that and it seems to be the case.

    Is there a way I can run a query in mysql to re-associate all those old posts to the blog id or something? Any guidance would be much appreciated!

    You are only supposed to do that on the sub networks if you had multiple WP networks with BP enabled on the sub networks. The items you were instructed to delete would not remove any BP data just the settings for those sub networks.
