MYBB Last Topics. Don't know where in template to put php code
-
I am using the education child theme and I have installed the MYBB forum in a subdirectory with it’s own database. There are 2 plugins that I have been trying to get to function. I want to have MYBB latest posts widget in the sidebar or use the MYBB last Topics. I can’t get either to work and can’t seem to get any support via the plugin developer. I did however find some very simple instructions for ‘last topics’. The line says this..
Place <?php lasttopics(); ?> in your templates and [lasttopics] in page or post. I tried placing <?php lasttopics(); ?> at the bottom of the theme function.php but it gave me an error message. So I placed it in a text widget in the sidebar and the put [lasttopics] in a page. this actually worked but it’s not how I want it. Do you have any suggestions. Thanks. I have a splash page up at the moment while working on the site.
