  • No need to mess with header.php. Just go to Appearance >> Header and upload the file there. (You did download it from that site first, right?)

Thanks for your reply buddy. This is the first time i actually build a site, i dont want to mess with headers but i think its almost unavoidable if you wanna build something nice?

The logo is only in HTML format i dont actually have the image.

So i think you actually have to copy it in the header.php. For my old theme, twenty eleven i found how to do it, its in the <h1 tag. The thing is i dont think i have a <h1 tag in Madidus theme. So i dont know where to copy the logo into.

    cheers,

    Niels

That’s a premium theme. Have you tried to get support from the author?

Hey graphical, thanks for your reply, no i didn’t. Reason why is that i am not very happy with the theme. I don’t like the standard/basic setup they give you. Then there are so many options. Not funny ??

Is that with all the premium themes, do you know?

I have deactivated the team atm.

    cheers boss!

    Welcome to ThemeForest! LOL

This is somewhat common but not true for all of them. A lot of people buy themes their because they have a bunch of functionality and they look great. If they are not supported well or coded well, then you are stuck. It is difficult to ask for support on here for premium themes and you may find that people are not answering your questions. If you are having trouble with it yourself you can always hire someone to help at wp-jobs found in the below. Without looking at the code, people can’t help you.

Haha! Do you know if theme PAI is coded well? I might wanna buy that one.

Yeah i just want to learn it myself. With the support here on the standard themes it’s doable, i already managed to get my logo in the header ?? But i have to say it takes time and can be frustrating to. So indeed hiring somebody is definitely an option.

What do you do? You not from the US i reckon?

I have no idea about the PAI theme. There are tons of themes out there so it’s impossible to keep up. When looking at premium themes, I tend to look at how quickly the author has responded to support issues and the quality of his/her responses. Me myself, I’m a developer and I’m in the US. Keep at it and you will keep improving. ??

Yes, it is avoidable. That’s the entire point behind using a CMS like WordPress or Drupal.

If you look in your HTML, there probably is a link to the address for the image (else, it wouldn’t show regardless). Go to that link and download the image. If you get stuck, post that code here so we can take a look.

Is that with all the premium themes, do you know?

A common mistake that many make is to pay for everything associated with WordPress. I don’t know why people think this is the way it should be, except perhaps because they are paying for their hosting.

A word of advice: when you are first getting started with WordPress, pay for nothing. Yes, there are a lot of companies offering themes/plugins/services/advice, but before you go there, please try as many of the free themes/plugins/services/advice that you can find here first. You will often find all you need here, and often with better support, a less steep learning curve, and (if you ask the right questions in the right way—in other words, not “give me the code”) lots of friendly people willing to help you.

If, in the end, you find yourself needing something that isn’t available for free, you have a much better idea of exactly what you need and what you are willing to pay for it.

Thank you Kjodle. I am experiencing exactly what you are saying at the moment.

I have a similar problem. I am simply trying to upload the file via Appearance/Customize/Header. I click the upload photo button and upload the photo but it is not visible. The image is a JPG and I have resized it so it is within the parameters. This should be the simplest procedure but I am unable to do it and am beyond frustrated. The website is site.aegisdoors.com
    Please help. Thank you
