    With some additional testing I was able to work out that this situation was being triggered by a link that was slightly longer than the available space (i.e. the width is reduced by the presence of the ad).

    The workaround is to use shorter links but perhaps there needs to be some kind of smarter CSS that isn’t so sensitive to these situations.
