Restrict products to premium members

I have purchaed and downloaded quite a few plugins trying to get the capability I’m looking for and still having issues (specifically, I have purchased woosubscriptions, groups premium and catalog visibility).

Here’s the issue – trying to set up shop with certain rules:

1.) Business is a weekly organic food delivery. Base model is customer has to be a registered member with an active subscription (6 different subscription tiers are available )

2.) Once they are a registered user with a purchased subscription, they can purchase additional products that go with that subscription. For example, say the customer has signed up for a weekly small fruit box delivery, but they want to add some olive oil and cheese to their next delivery – they should be able to log in, select those products, and purchase (as a one time addon – just for this week, so it’s a one time purchase). However, I don’t want just anyone being able to purchase those products – only those users that already have an active subscription.

I thought groups would help this, but it doesn’t. Or catalog visibility – but no that hides the entire catalog, which prohibits anyone from actually purchasing a subscription in the first place, lol. So I guess I need only *part* of the catalog hidden – if that makes sense? Can I hide catalog based on product type? I don’t know. Need help on this!! Any advice is appreciated ??
