• We are trying to display a visio document with clickable links, which was converted to an html and uploaded to my word press site. Are there any plug-ins that can help with our cause? We want the document to appear as a page of the website or at least a portion of a page with all functions still intact. We have tried uploading directly and have run into the 404 error “Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.” However, the link clicked was one we uploaded ourselves. Please assist. Thank you!

  • Sorry for stating the obvious…

When uploading the MSVISO docs, make sure you upload the entire set of folders etc.
You need to make sure the path(s) of links etc. are correct and slot in with the rest of the site. All this can be a bit of a puzzle, but should work.

You could try ‘documents shortcode’ plugin.

Thank you, however, the site will not allow us to upload our .xml files which accompany the visio files. I tried uploading the other files but if the extra file uploads are the issue, then it seems we need the .xml files as well. Added the documents shortcode plug in but cannot figure out how to extend uploads to accept .xml files. What should we do? Thank you for your time.

We also run into the same problem uploading .emz files and the actual visio document .vsd file. Please advise. Thank you.

Use FTP e.g. filezilla [free] https://filezilla-project.org/download.php to upload the entire folder and the visio.htm file to the root of your site.
    https://www.mysite.com/visio.htm is now accessible.
Incorporate the link to this page in your WP-site as usual.
