Error message when uploading media

I am new to Word Press. I have finally found a theme I like and got it to look the way I want. Everything was going great for 3 weeks until I wrote a post today and tried to upload a photo. I clicked “add media”, the window popped-up, I selected upload file. The new window opened, I chose my file, it uploaded completely, then instead of the picture showing up, I got the error message saying: An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”
It was working fine last night! I can see the images in my library if I look in it from the link on my Dashboard. But when I click ‘Add Media’ and that window opens, if I click Media Library instead of Upload Files, there is nothing showing up.
I am using the Admired theme. I have disabled all of my plugins except my SEO one (I was afraid it might mess something up).
I tried using Windows Live Writer, and it worked fine! However, I want to be able to use WP to write my posts, not Live Writer, especially because there is no way to set a Featured Image.
I also tried using IE instead of Chrome, and it worked for about 1 minute, then the same thing happened.
Please help.
Any suggestions?
