Can’t get into my wp-admin

    My website seems to be loading correctly, but whenever I log in and try to go to Site Admin, all it does is reload the web page. I can’t get into my Site Admin. I checked my error log and this is what I’m getting:

    [Wed Apr 19 14:23:55 2006] [crit] [client 68.202.180.131] (13)Permission denied: /home/catgirl/public_html/wp-admin/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable

    I’m new to all of this so I’m clueless as to how to fix this problem. I do know I changed all my htaccess files permissions so that it shouldn’t be having a problem reading it.

    I don’t know where to go from here.

  • your .htaccess .. is it chmod’d to something less than 644?

    if so, chmod it back to 644.. that what it needs to be to be usable/readable to the web server.

    aditionally, wp-admin needs to be chmod 755
