• I am using a theme from Wordress.org’s free selection. I can’t set up a feedburner feed because it gives me this error:
The URL does not appear to reference a valid XML file. We encountered the following problem: Error on line 31: XML document structures must start and end within the same entity.

I don’t know what this means and I don’t know how to fix it. Can someone guide me as to what I need to do?

  • What happens if you switch to the default 2012 theme and deactivate all plugins?

I haven’t tried it. I just started this blog a couple days ago and have not added any plug ins. This template is straight from the download template themes in Word Press. I have not done anything to it at all but yet I can’t add a feed to it.

I want to fix this and use this theme.

There is no magic bullet in these situations. This is just the start of basic troubleshooting and is a process of elimination deliberately designed to locate the root cause as quickly as possible by first removing the most obvious and common culprits via a series of (often) temporary steps.

Do you want to locate and, hopefully, fix the problem on your site? If “yes”, then please help us to help you and carry out the changes that we suggest.
