    I need to know if anyone has been able to work out how to activate this plugin or any other plugin without using the ‘activate’ button in the admin panel.
    I’m able to activate it using the ‘activate’ button but this is not an option. I need to be able to activate it using another method. Any help is appreciated.

  • not sure why that’s not an option – can you maybe give a few more details as to why you’re opposed to using the default activation method?

    I’m a reseller and I want to offer wordpress installed as well as the wpg2 plugin. This will be multiple installes so I don’t want to manually install the plugin for each client. Also, my clients will not have access to the plugins tab. I’m only offering a couple plugins which is why I need another method of installing this.

    Anyone??
    It’s hard for me to believe someone hasn’t had the need to bypass the admin panel for plugin activation.

    For those of you that aren’t dependent on GUI’s for everything, it is possible. It’s not easy but not that bad either. Give me a shout if you need the solution.

    I think when you manually click on ‘Activate’ the following page is hit.

    <your blog directory>
    /wp-admin/plugins.php?action=activate&plugin=plugin-name.php

    where plugin-name is the name of the plugin file you wanted to activate.

    is there anyway, you can redirect to this URL from your routine ?

    Thanks
