    1. Open up the header.php file
    2. Using your browser search tool, Search for nav id="site-navigation"
    3. Once you locate that note the opening tag which is <nav .... and note the closing tag which should be </nav>
    4. Select everything from <nav... till </nav> and cut that code(This is our navigation menu)
    5. With your browser search tool search for </header>
    6. once you locate that, past the "nav" code right above </header>
    7. Save changes and you are good to go.

    Isn’t working for me. I did that exact thing in the child theme. I left the parent theme alone though. It’s in the pastebin if that helps. Thanks!

    You don’t have a child theme active on your site – did you activate it after creating it?

    I guess I missed that step. ?? So, if I activate the child theme, the parent theme doesn’t show up anymore and the site looks bad. I just activated it so you can go to the site to see what I mean. Thanks for your help!

    You are missing this line in the child theme style.css file:

    @import url("../twentytwelve/style.css");

    It goes below the line with:
    */

    THANK YOU! It’s working now.

    Cool! I like your header graphic a lot!

    Hi there!

    I’ve been reading all the support on this topic and tried a lot, but, no changes ??
    It’s been my second night figuring it out, so I think it’s time to call in some help.

    Perhaps someone sees what I did wrong? I copied the header.php to the child theme, changes the sequence and also activated the child theme. Still the menu is above the header. It’s a website for my dad https://www.johannesdelint.com.
