Lets talk categories and menu pages

Trust me on this– if you plan on having properly working pagination controls on your blog category page, you do NOT want to remove the word category from your URLs.

Ok but what would be case where it would be a regretful decision?

I saw that plugin long time ago, but decided not to use it, because I prefer thing to be straight forward.

Think of it this way if one day the site has custom taxonomy, it’s gonna be there anyway, so why not just leave the archive link as is.

When you have more posts under the category “money” than will display on a single page . . . and you’ve used https://xyz.com/money instead of category/money . . . you will likely find clicking the link for page 2, 3, 4 etc. returns a 404 error.
