• Hello,

I’m attempting to add an amazon astore (or even just amazon products) to a page on my website (weaver theme) but can’t seem to figure out how to select html to make it work. I know that on other themes, it’s just a matter of clicking on an html button in the upper right but Weaver doesn’t seem to have that option…… Any help would be appreciated!

  • The HTML editor was changed to TEXT in WP3.5 – maybe that’s what’s confusing? Do you have a TEXT tab in the visual editor?

No, there does not seem to be a TEXT tab anywhere that I can see. There are two options that I can check on any page, but neither seems to do anything when I check them:

Disable Visual Editor for this page. Useful if you enter simple HTML or other code.
Allow Raw HTML and scripts. Disables auto paragraph, texturize, and other processing.

    What is your site URL?

You could also ask on the Weaver forums here:

runningandbreathing.com. but I now have another issue. I was trying out a new theme. For some reason it came up with 3 homepages. So I deleted the extras, I got an error saying the page cannot be found. /When I restored the previous theme, I got the same error. And now all themes say this…. Is there a way to fix this? (On the new theme I tried, btw, there was a TEXT button……..).

thanks for the weaver forums link.. I will try that if I decide to stay with the theme.

Check that your menu is selected correctly with the “real” (still existing) page and then try resetting your permalinks – change to default and then reset whichever you are using.

how do you reset the permalinks? I clicked the default button but it didn’t help, so not sure how to proceed……

Are you using a Custom Menu? You should be able to remove the invalid home page from there. If not, probably check on the Weaver Forums as I’m not sure how that theme is set up?

thank you. I will check into this….

Had a brainstorm about this. I went to the theme install page and clicked on customize theme. It was just a matter of resetting the homepage as the static page. Phew!

To follow up on my initial question. The reason there is not a TEXT tab at the top is because the Weaver option to Allow Raw Html was checked. When that is unchecked, the VISUAL and TEXT tabs show up. However, no matter what I have done, I come away with only html text when I publish. ie, if I click on the TEXT tab, paste the html code and publish, I only get the html text. If I check the “Allow RAW html” box, paste the html code and publish, I only get the html text. Someone on the Weaver forum suggested it might be possible to create a page using Raw template instead of default template, but I can’t figure out how to do this. Any ideas? Thank you……..

I figured it out…. I chose the wrong amazon option and so the code was wrong……
