• I cannot get thumbnails to be created so I can insert them into my postings. I have installed WordPress 2.0.2 on both a Mac OS X 10.4 XServe and a Fedora Core 4 Server, without having thumbnail creation success. After uploading a image using the default inline image upload, the thumbnail option is always stuck out. All others seem to work.

Is there a step that I am missing?

I have both GD and ImageMagick installed.
I have the correct permissions for the wp-content/uploads directory.
I have tried different image types, as well as sizes.

    Regards – TGS

Still cannot get this to work. Does anyone have a pointer to a how-to?

is the thumbnail targetting another file or is it purely as a static image?

    Not sure what you mean…

The image is a local one that I want to upload, then place the thumbnail into the message via the default inline image upload of WordPress. When you click on the thumbnail in the message, the larger image will be displayed.

Okay, this is a really tough one to figure out. Is it PHP related, and not WordPress?
