• I would like to create a blog as a subpage, using one of the free templates available for WP.

However, I don’t see how I could use the template for only the blog subpage, and keep the site’s current template for the rest of the pages.

Is this possible? If it is, how can I set it up?

  • What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

If you have created a static front page, your blog page will use the theme’s index.php template file automatically.

Thank you for the quick reply!

Our problem is – our webpage is based on WP, and we have several static subpages, all of them dependent on the theme, so we can’t change it without messing up the whole webpage structure.

Do you think I should set up another WP account, and run the blog from that, so I can use a different theme easily, and just link to that blog from the webpage?

Is your site currently using a static front page?

Yes, we are using a static front page.
Please, take a look at our website tresorit.com. Maybe it can make things more clear and easier.

    Thanks again for helping!

Have you tried just creating a page called Blog and setting it up as your latest posts’ page via Settings -> Reading?
