I discovered today that notifications of people using the contact form are not getting emailed to me.

My main email is an AOL email addy, but the person who contacted me two weeks ago did not have her email come through — and I check my spam box every day, so that’s not the problem. I did a test one today, myself, and it ended up in spam, but another one never showed up at all.

Since I know DreamHost won’t send to AOL, I tried switching to gmail (which worked for getting comment notifications through), but I’m still not getting contact form emails.

I did some fiddling around earlier when I was trying to get it to work and am wondering if I changed a setting I shouldn’t have that earlier let it come through to my spam folder and now isn’t coming to any email box. Any help?

    Thank you!

  • I’m having the same problem. The form shows up on my site, and I’ve triple checked the settings, but emails never come through no matter which email address I tell it to send to. It used to work.

    Has anyone solved this?

Nope . What is happening now is that i get notification 24 or 48 hours later or more . Similar thing is happening with comment notification — delayed by hours sometimes or a day others .

Yeah, after I posted yesterday my test messages started showing up an hour or two later.

Is this addon supported? It doesn’t seem like the devs are active in the forums (a bug I reported three weeks ago hasn’t been fixed or acknowledged).

Yes, this is the plugin support, but I have also posted about this problem (cuz of the comment notification issue) on regular support, and I have not gotten any responses there, either. Not sure what to do. ??

I know this is the plugin’s support page; that’s why I posted here. ?? What I was asking was whether the plugin was being actively supported, but from the looks of the forum and your ignored support requests, the answer seems to be no.

    Hello,

    Please follow the instructions below:
    1) Please check the plugin settings
    ‘/wp-admin/admin.php?page=contact_form.php’ => ‘What to use?’ =>
change the lines from wp-mail to mail and vice versa.
    2) email messages can be marked as spam on the server. Please choose
another email instead of the admin’s one (‘Use this email:’ block) –
for example, gmail or similar. If the message is sent, it means that
email filtering is set on your server.
    3) Did you get any notifications about new users registration? If not,
perhaps email sending is not set. if so, you should install an extra
plugin called WP-mail-SMTP and configure it. Afterwards you should
send a test email from this plugin and you will see if the plugin logs
    have errors.

    Please contact our support https://support.bestwebsoft.com

Your plugin form shows error message “Sorry, email message could not be delivered.”
