    Hello Stefan,

I looked back a month in the forum but couldn’t find my exact problem.

My slideshow was working perfectly until today when I tried editing my search.php file in the theme I’m using. I then noticed that my slideshow was more narrow than the 500 I have the width set at.

I fixed my search.php file to what it was originally, but the slideshow still wasn’t working at the correct width. I really can’t believe just opening up the search.php would cause the slideshow to stop working. But I wanted to let you know what I had done.

Anyway, since that slideshow would not go to the 500 width any longer, I created a new slide show duplicating the other and set it at 500 width.

It won’t go to my desired width. I looked at it in IE and Chrome, both are the same. I did a hard refresh and still not working.

Thanks for any help you can give,
    Brian

    Hi Brian,

Your slideshow is placed in a block that floats to the left. The floating block is only 244 pixels wide. This keeps the slideshow from reaching its maximum width of 500 pixels.

    Best regards,
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan,

    Good day to you.

I’m not sure how anything changed. It was working yesterday morning, but then all of a sudden it shrunk. I never edited that front page of my site. I never changed anything.

The way I have it set up on the wordpress page itself is the way I’ve always had it. There is no designation that I input on the page saying 244 pixels wide. The slideshow shrunk to that on its own. And it worked perfectly with the same exact coding on the page.

Is there anything else you would suggest I do? I really want to keep using the plugin. I think it’s the best out there. To me, this is just some sort of glitch on how it shrunk.

As for the page I’ve inserted the slideshow short code, nothing has been changed on it (by me) in over six months and the Slideshow was working perfectly all that time.

Any tips you might have would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

By the way, here is the relevant code I’ve been using for past six months.

    Thanks,
    Brian

    <div style="display: block; float: left; margin: 5px 5px 5px 5px;"><center><h3>Everyone is Interesting</h3></center><br>[slideshow_deploy id='1643']</div>

    <center><p>.<p>.<p>.<p><h1><a href="https://www.gotinterviews.com/get-interviewed/"><font color="red">></font> GET INTERVIEWED</h1></a>

    Hi Brian,

I’m sorry, I don’t have time to look through your code at the moment. You could run your website through an HTML validator to see if there’s any incorrect markup on your page.

    Best regards,
    Stefan

    Got it to work.

Something was keeping it from expanding further to the right.
