RSS Templates

  • Hi there

    Hope I can get this plugin to work. It looks very handy.

    I have a test list with 3 groups. I’ve set up the plugin and made the selections within the campaigns section that match the group list segments. I’ve click on send campaign to test it and the RSS Feed Template that I’ve created is being received in my email inbox without any of the content from each post. What am I doing wrong? It’s just an email with the merge codes showing.

    I therefore exported the template I’d made from the basic rss templates provided (user template as you refer to I guess if old language they used?)and then changed the ‘main’ text within the code. I imported the template back into Mailchimp, then applied the template to a campaign ready to be send it shows the text of the post I’ve written but also shows all the RSS coding underneath without anything pulled into to replace it. Am I wasting my time with Autochimp working with RSS or do I have to do a lot more coding to get this to work?

    Last mail before I clock off…

    Have ended working out how to code my own template using ‘MC’ merge codes instead of the ‘RSS’ merge codes.

    Would still love to know how to get RSS to work if possible to have multiple posts to send in one email at a specific time. Is this at all possible?
