Homepage to most recent post

  • How do I set up a homepage with the most recent post. If a visitor goes to the site and goes to another page, the home page would allow them to return to the most recent post.
    What I get is a blank page with the widgets, etc, and all the form info, just not the most recent page. There must be an easy way around this.

  • You need two pages… “Home” and “Blog”, for example.

    In your admin panel settings -> reading, you want to select to show latest posts (instead of static content).

    Then, choose the “Blog” page for that page.

    Next, create a custom menu… and use the “Blog” page as your home page (you can rename it to whatever you want).

    Lastly, make sure you actually have a post for checking to see if they display. If you have no posts, nothing will display.
