    Hi,
    I just got a host from hostgator and I was trying to install wordpress through qiuckinstall. However, when I enter my website memastudio.ca still wordpress is not running.
    that is the email i got yesterday when I registered and it is nor still working.

    can you please advise why after 24 hours it is still nor working?

  • Am I correct in thinking you purchased your domain from GoDaddy, but you are hosting with HostGator? If so, you’ll need to log in to your GoDaddy account and change the A record on your domain so that it points to the ip address of the server at HostGator.

    This might help, if you are not familiar with GoDaddy’s toolkit.

    Thanks a lot for your help and detailed direction. I changed the ip address. Still when i go to memastudio.ca that defualt wordpress page is not coming up. Is it just timing?

    You may need to wait for up to 72 hours for your changes to propagate fully.

    Are you certain you’ve changed the A record in GoDaddy’s DNS tool? I’m asking because the IP address I’m seeing listed there appears to be for Network Solutions, not for HostGator.
